Is the trick to pick one’s age from a guy with pants that have a bunch of different ages on them? New York drivers are so being ripped off! If only peope would use that ridiculously easy trick about the pants and the earnest-looking guy who is wearing them! The pants with the ages, man, if only we realized sooner that it was that simple!
While it’s true that I never read the book, I’m pretty sure it has nothing to do with Voltaire putting on his pants after getting out of bed. Like, how pissed would you be if you wrote a great classic of the Enlightenment and then 200 years later Penguin Classics printed it with a cover portrait of you getting dressed? SO PISSED!
